'If I were a boy, I'd be gay.'I looked up from my drawing and lifted an eyebrow.
'Really, now?' I asked, with a hint of amusement (and wondering...)
'Yes. Look, I've doodled this. See? That's what I would look like if I was born a guy.'
'Cute,' I commented, without any kind of second thought. 'What would your name be, then?'
'I haven't chosen yet,' she admitted, pointing to a few scribbled names on the margin. 'I'm hesitating...'
'That one,' I said, pointing to the page.
'Vince? Maybe...'
'It would suit you. Looks like your real name anyway.'
'Yeah...'
'You know what? Hand me that pencil, please. I want to draw my own male alter ego, looks like fun!'
'Oh? And what would your name be?'
'My mum told me she would have called me Alejandro,' I said with a snort. 'So Alex I'll be.'

That was a couple of years ago, four or five, I'm not too sure. It was the birth of Alex and Vince. We would roleplay them often, through chat, e-mails (they had their own accounts), or even in real life.
It didn't take long before the guys started dating each other, lol. That wasn't really a surprise, since we were (and still are) huge slashers. I still remember how DIFFICULT Vince was >_< I should have known better...
The really surprising thing was that they had been "dating" for more than a year before Vince's creator and Alex' creator started going out too. And man, did they laugh at us. They're still laughing, I think...
Happy Valentine's day to all of you...
And for my wonderful, beautiful, amazing, incredible girlfriend, I wish you a very happy birthday. I love you so much, you have no idea.

Ok, so I looked at this for a few moments, thinking, "that's nice" before letting out an honest-to-goodness wheeze of laughter upon realizing that this is a pretty accurate cartoon version of two of my best friends. (They're not going out or anything, but one of my first thoughts upon meeting them several years ago was that they'd make a good couple.)
*looks again* God, they look just like them!! (Except for the piercings. My friend has none. But he's got the facial hair, and the long curly dark hair. And the wearing blue thing.)
*laughs at self* Sorry, I know I'm being silly. I just find it so terribly amusing. ^___^
By the way, which one is Vince? Because my friend's middle name is Vinson.

Ah, I see. Yes, my dark-haired friend is the one with the middle name Vinson. How wonderfully fitting. ^_^
Though neither of them appears to be genuinely interested in anyone of the same gender, they're best friends and both rather silly. I mean, they hug and jokingly act gay together enough that I'm sure I could eventually snag a picture. (Though the likelihood of it actually looking tender and not extremely silly is rather slim.)
Geez. I can't fave this again can I? It's terrible how much this makes me grin.
