Description As you may or may not know, I am an ardent Socialist. As such, I abhore Nazism, Fascism and racism and I try as much as possible to oppose these ideologies through my works, whether it be my anti-racism pictures or my Incredibles fan fiction, which deals with racism; racial/ethnic discrimination; Fascism; neo-Nazism; racial, ethnic and religious hatred; hate groups; white-supremacy; lynchings; anti-Communism; racially-motivated attacks; police brutality; political asylum; `hate media`; the Ku Klux Klan and the virulent anti-Communist sentiment held by many Americans in the second half of the 20th century.

This picture is in my scrapbook because the lines of the crossed out swastika are not the length they should be, as well as the fact that the red diagonal line should be going from the top right to the bottom left and not the other way around. Nevertheless, please comment on and/or fave this picture.

Good job with making an accurate Swastika, dipshit. In fact, the way you have it, (clockwise and lying flat on its side), it represents the norse good luck symbol. Despite the atrocities they commit, they invented:

*jet engines
*stealth bombers
*helicopters
*atomic bombs (unaware of the nukes being developed stateside)
*V2 rockets. (From which the Saturn V was developed, which just happened to PUT A MAN ON THE FUCKING MOON AND MAKE FIRST CONTACT WITH ANOTHER CELSTIAL BODY!)

Stalin, well, you already know what he did. Hitler ordered the deaths od 6-8 million jews.

8 million < 80 million

(2+2=4, not 5)

originalCzechball In reply to InvaderJhonn95 [2015-02-23 17:09:56 +0000 UTC]

Individuals invented these things, not the Nazi regime.

Jet engines were invented before Nazis
Stealth bombers were invented before Nazis
Helicopter was invented long time before Nazis.
Atomic bomb? Really?
V2 rockets were invented before Nazis

Hitler killed about 21 million, not only Jews.

OK, so Stalin did let the side down a bit. However, you failed to mention the catalogue of other Nazi atrocities. Hilter didn't just kill Jews. He also killed civilians and military personnel from the Soviet Union; homosexuals; disabled people; Socialist; Communists; Slavs; Romas; trade unionists; Catholics from Poland and countless others.

I'm well aware of that, but that's not the point. Ever heard of Tianneman Square? Khmer Rouge? The "Cultural revolution" and how the survivors missed out on structured education?

Don't tell me those didn't happen.

Don't get me wrong - those event happened and they were terrible. However, you seem to jumped ahead by quite a few decades. This is supposed to be an anti-Nazi picture and you have cited red herring after red herring. It seems we have gone off the proverbial tracks a wee bit.

InvaderJhonn95 In reply to Swissair171 [2009-06-26 20:23:24 +0000 UTC]

The point I was getting at is that people talk about Nazis as if Hitler is still alive and they don't even know how bad communist dictators, most of which make Hitler look like Ghandi.

Kajm [2009-05-19 23:35:26 +0000 UTC]

That is curious, seeing as how the Nazis were Socialists.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Swissair171 In reply to Kajm [2009-05-20 08:35:48 +0000 UTC]

By Socialism, I refer to the left-wing political ideology, which is NOT, REPEAT NOT, to be confused with or mistaken for Nazism.

For your information, the Union of Soviet SOCIALIST Republics fought AGAINST Nazi Germany in the Second World War!

By the way, if you don't mind me asking, what is your political ideology?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Kajm In reply to Swissair171 [2009-05-20 08:57:41 +0000 UTC]

As to your question, I really am not sure. It seems to be quite the mixed bag, which would suggest I am a Centrist.

As to the soviet Socialist republic, well, 100,000,000 dead- no, I am wrong, they maybe account for 80,000,000. But see, every time I see Socialism in history, I see lots of freedoms lost, lots of people Dead. The French revolution, Mussolini...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Swissair171 In reply to Kajm [2009-05-20 15:09:08 +0000 UTC]

OK, Stalin did let the side down a bit. That said, let me make one thing quite clear. Socialism is on the left of the political spectrum, whereas Fascism are on the far-right of the political spectrum. The two ideologies are polar opposites! Don't you get it?!

Also, the French Revolution took place long before Socialism even existed. As for Mussolini, if he had been a Socialist, he would have fought ALONGSIDE the Allies and not against them.

By the way, what is your favourite TV news channel?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

Kacen In reply to Swissair171 [2010-12-29 21:28:51 +0000 UTC]

Mussolini...what?

If you honestly think political ideology was behind WWII, think again. Spain stayed neutral and was Fascist. Finland sided with the Axis and was Democratic. Greece sided with the allies and was Fascist (look up the 4th of August Regime).

A lot of historians seem to disagree:

Mussolini: 'You cannot get rid of me because I will always be a socialist.'

[link]

'Mussolini's faith was socialism.'

Mussolini became a member of the Socialist party in 1900

'French revolution is an endless source of lessons for modern socialists and working class activists.'

If Mussolini had been a Socialist, why then, was he a firm ally with the violently anti-Communist Adolf Hitler?! I feel duty-bound to point out that Hitler and his Nazi Pary considered Socialism and Communism to be dangerous ideologies. If the Nazis actually were Socialists, why did they hate Socialism so much?

To top it all, you failed to answer the question I asked you in my previous response - what is you favourite TV news channel? As for me, my favourite TV news channel is Al Jazeera English, with Russia Today coming a close second.

Sorry, I somehow did not see that question. Life is being quite busy... my favorite news channel? I stopped watching the news 4 years ago. I gave up on the blogs 2 years ago. I honestly cannot think of what channel I thought was the least biased, back when I was watching- and I never watched FOX.

Swissair171 In reply to Kajm [2009-05-21 21:41:10 +0000 UTC]

I'm glad that you've never watched the Fox Nazi Channel. As for CNN, it is typical of the US mainstream media - virulently right-wing; hopelessly one-dimensional; exceedingly American imperialist; bigoted and more interested in profits than the truth.

When me any my family were holidaying in the north-eastern US in '07, I noticed that the US mainstream news media NEVER covered ANYTHING that was happening outside the US. Also, because we were there in July 2007, I watched the on-air shouting match between Sanjay Gupta and Michael Moore. Lenin's mother!

'As for CNN, it is typical of the US mainstream media - virulently right-wing;'

...that has got to be one of the BEST jokes I have seen in a long time. They are the most bigoted, anti-American, anti-Christian channel in the US. ted turner, the idiot creator of CNN, thinks communist Kim 'Definitely' Ill Jong is the Bee's Knees and that he is doing great things for his country- I suppose eating grass is ' progressive'. His (ex?)wife thought the communist North Vietnamese were... well who gives a damn what she thinks anymore.
I will at least agree with you that CNN is not interested in the truth!

Eh. enough of this. Believe what you wish. Just don't complain when it blows up in your face and makes the rest of your life miserable.

I'm fine with you either way *g*

Look, though: it is not the Goals that bother me. I would be very pleased to see much of them implemented. But the 'how to reach' part.... there just seems to be too many people, no matter what philosophy, who are more interested in vengeance rather than justice. Many seem more interested in Paybacks, rather than 'forgive and forget.' Not to mention that the Leadership are often out for themselves, and those who follow are often left out in the cold, when all is said and done.

When I began studying history 30 years ago, I was an optimist. Now, I see the next Repeat well in the works.
