Description
This is another one of my color edits. This one is for a fanfic I was going to do, but never got around to finishing. I might pick it up again if I feel the bug. Anyway, yes, this is a J-type Zaku II (Ground Type Variant), and yes, its head and arms are from an MS-05 Zaku I. Just in case you were wondering. Don't you love that giant Rakteen Bazooka?The character's full name is Deacon Gallagher.

It's actually a Zaku II J-Type (ground combat model), though I used the head and arms from a Zaku I for an aesthetic change.

The chest armor is also different, and there's the power cables for reference. This isn't the first time that a Zaku II has had a Zaku I head though -- occaisionally heads have to be repleced if they're damaged, and the proper parts aren't always available. Also, certain images of official suits such as the Black Tristar's Zaku IIs (which they had before they appeared in the show and got their Doms) show them with Zaku I heads as well.

Not really. The Zaku II head has the external power cables on it, which to me signifies that it'd be better at dispersing excess heat out the exhaust port in the snout, but the basic functionality wouldn't be affected most likely.
