Description
I'm not going to hoarde away the progress of this comic where it can't get proper feedback. Please be brutally honest with me as we go.First off, flat colours. Maybe I'll shade it all when its done, maybe I'll find someone willing to help me, but for now it is what it is. I hope nobody minds.
And that paper background, while totally awesome, is not something I made. So I'll make my own at some point.
For those who need the introduction, this is the story of 18 humans whose souls are abducted by a Sun God, Kotamayu, who lives in a far away solar system. He trains them to become his new pantheon, stripping away their humanity and changing them in to his war gods.

Your chapter cover is well done but as you said there is always room to improve. We'll start with your line work which is well done and has good flow and avoids unnecesary shading if you plan to have the colors/tint create the more subtle shading and volume. In this case some additional line work on the skull indicating volume and/or shade would have been helpful. With the left side having 9(?) colors helping to shape it the monochromatic right side flattens noticebly in comparison. Some additional hatching on the portion of the rose vine (very little needed) thats behind the fore part would help add some dimension. These issues could be solved with additional color layers targeting highlights and shadows. Mainly the right side of the head and the rose vine need some volume either in inks or color layers. Also, this is a suggestion, have you thought of adding some dark particulates to the ghostly swirl. I think it would lend something to it but this may just be a matter of taste.
I've enjoyed examining your chapter page and think that its a very good piece. Hopefully my critique will be of some use to you. -Tp7

oh I really love the rose designs~ and the flats actually seem to work in this case - I think soft shading it would make it look a bit out of place~ especially against a lovely paper background like that~

Your style of inking is pretty much textured anough to carry the colours without shading anyway dude.
This page is pretty nicely balanced.
