Rikkan put his gun in the air, to show that he wasn't going to kill Sonya, even after she tried to kill him.

Rikkan: "Listen, for a government agent, you really don't use your words as well as you use your legs. So how about we mature up a bit and talk about this."

Sonya: "This coming from a bounty hunter wearing cowboy boots."

Rikkan: "These were my uncles. I wear these as a memento, ever since he and my aunt were..." *looks away*

Sonya then realizes what he was about to say. It was obvious to her that he was an orphan.

Rikkan: "Look. I got a lot of shit to explain and I don't exactly have the time to give you the full details, because my partner my be in trouble. So listen carefully. First, Kano killed a crooked high school teacher that was making counterfeit yen bills for a private army. Second, our employer and friend, Yuri, is paying us over $50 million to kill Kano on sight. So no way am I passing up that kind of money. We're obviously never going to get to him if we continue fighting each other. So here's my offer, you help me and Ame find Kano, nab him, and then we can argue about what to do with him later."

Sonya: "You have to understand something. Kano is a murderer and a gun trafficker. He is responsible for the death of serveral American soldiers."

Rikkan: "You're in Japan now. So really, you have no authority over here. Hell, you probably don't even have an international warrant for his arrest."

Sonya: "Regardless, I am not going back home empty handed. If anyone is going to kill Kano, it's gonna be me. And know all there is to know about Kano's fighting style. So really, you two need me if you want him. Now if you want, I can make a few calls as to pay you and your partner your bounty. But I can't make any promises until we get him."

Rikkan: "You practically tried to kill me over a simple argument. So how do I know you won't pull off any of that spy shit and strangle me with a garrote wire?"

Sonya: "I guess you don't know. But like you said, the more time we waste, the less of a chance we'll get to him."

Rikkan: "Well on that I can agree. So do we have a deal?" *offers hand*

Sonya: *shakes Rikkan's hand* "Deal."

Rikkan: "Good. Let's head down to the alleyway. Ame thinks he might be hiding out down there."
