I dunno, Captain America could easily qualify for membership in the Blue Lantern Corps (fueled by hope, and proclaiming "All will be well!") as well as the Greens; he might even have accepted slinging both those rings. Not sure if he's got what it takes to wear the Indigo Ring (fueled by compassion, capable of manifesting any of the other Lights but only one at a time), though it's an interesting discussion point.
The rest of the Corps:
Red (fueled by rage): Cap is too controlled and disciplined to surrender to rage. 'Nuff said.
Orange (fueled by greed): Larfleeze would have a tough time stealing Cap's identity, and I think that Cap might well be the only sentient in history to win free of the Orange light.
Yellow (fueled by fear): Sinestro might laugh at the sight of a peak-health but otherwise ordinary human jumping at him with nothing but a shield. Sinestro will stop laughing when that shield breaks through his ring's forcefield and busts him across the chops. "Mister," Cap would say, "I spent three years fighting Earthlings who scared me more than you ever could. I suggest you give up."
Violet (fueled by love): Cap's a guy; he's automatically disqualified.
Black (fueled by death): Not sure, since Cap's very driven by his particular passions.
White (fueled by life): Oh, yeah. Cap might just be worthy to wield that ring for the duration.

i agree fully but then his uniform either way would still need to gave the red white and blue scheme in it because it wouldn't be the cap. with out the color schemes
