I made some Gimp brushes!! I made these because I never found any Gimp brushes that were feathers...maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but oh well. This is my first time making brushes. So please don't be too hard on me...and I ran out of ideas after the fourth brush, so that's why there's only four of them...these are probably the only set of brushes I'll make, unless ideas come into my mind and I get obsessed with making them. My little brother said they really looked like feathers, so maybe that will also encourage me to make more ^^(If you use them, then you have to give me credit!! I'm not greedy, it's just the way of life.)

I have downloadedthis and went through the steps but aren't the brush supposed to have a black feather with a white background?

Actually, I found out the problem that a lot of people were reporting about the white lines. The problem is that there is no transparent background, so you get the white surrounding the feather. Might wanna try and fix that.

how do you download,all I get is a big white line when I use the brush

How did you save the brush? Because what you should do is go up to edit, select copy, then paste as-new brush. After that, the spacing should be set to 0, and named whatever will work for you. And voila!

looks good great job but demanding credit form every use of the brush is ridiculous I some times use hundred of brushes on a single piece fie i was forced to give credit to all of them or even half it would take weeks to sort through and make my description a mile long it makes sense only to credit if you distribute them of witch I support hole heartedlyΒ
they look great wish i could use them.

Whoa I only got one brush after the download. I can easily work with just the one, but that's never happened with dA brush sets. Followed basic procedure... What am I doing wrong?

Are these brushes supposed to be transparent? Because they're not on mine. They appear as a block with a black feather in the middle. I don't know why it does that.

You press that button that says Download File. Then you open the gimp brushes folder and drag the file over to it. After that, open gimp and go to the window with the layers, undo, paths, etc and go all the way down and click the icon with your current brush. Click on the icon with two blue arrows that says refresh brushes and you have your brushes!
Sorry if what I just said makes you sound like a dummy, btw. Lol
