I guess I have to make the necessary changes as per Hideyoshi suggested, it also bothering me somehow too. Troublesome.. I guess right now it looks pretty ok where I can emphasize on the scale and the vastness of teh environment.download to view the full size.

hope you don't mind, I did this quick overpaint combining your idea to add characters (because they really did add to the storytelling aspect of your image) and scale correction.
