shooting with a smaller aperture would have helped give you larger depth of field. f/4 is too large; change to the AV setting and go with f/12 or or f/16.

Thank you for the tip! I am still learning how to use the camera. My brain isn't oiled very well and I can usually only think about one setting at a time.. hehe.
