Really late comment I know but eh 8'D. I like all your stuff, but I'm very much enjoying your traditional work, meaning that it's cool if you stick to traditional till your Cintiq is fixed. Ink gives me so much trouble, I usually mess something up but when used properly it looks awesome XD. She doesn't look one-armed 8'D
Also Windows 10 are the devil.

I really like this, actually!
And I think you should use materials, that you wanna use at that time.
Don't be forced to do something you don't want

The head still goes well with the gesture. And I, at least, would surely love to see you use "analogue" media. Pencil isn't obligatory.

Your style looks really well in fight scenes and such i'm sure, but in my opinion it just ain't made for sexy things.

I want you to stick with traditional.
I think I know what the problem is with you not liking your pencils and shading work. You're mentally fighting it. You want your penciling style to resemble digital too much, but they are completely two different styles of media. They weren't designed to look or feel the same. Instead you should just embrace that your pencils aren't going to exactly resemble your digital work.

I love the top half ALOT and you're right it's hard to do cell shading with soft pencils, what you could try is line the shadows and highlights where you want them and fill in as best you can so it looks more solid? I don't know I used to do it as a kid.
The bottom half is so distracting lol, you mentioned the hand but the hand looks fine to me but dem hips man lol. But I see her eyein dem hips and she looks pretty pleased with them XD

Woah! Your style is so much more alive and concise when you draw without references! I think when you get too attached to the reference you are looking at, your realism toggle on and your style ends up getting tone down. Maybe you should look at the reference only for the gesture sketch and then take it from infront of you and just try to build the drawing by yourself, only when needed you should come back to the reference for anatomy issues. This one looks so much more beautiful than the other two pencil drawings you have shown us so far, this one looks more uniquely you!

Agreed. I think this certainly works more thanks to the ink. That boldness really takes it further.
I think the shoulder is the area you shaded best. I can't fully tell, but if I zoom in to the full version it seems as though you used a bit of hatching, which gives it a sharp lighting. Good stuff.

Best name yet my man. Actually, traditional is really refreshing. Tablet or not, I hope you stick with traditional for a while longer. This is great to see. Really smooth and easy on the eyes. Which is surprising considering you have a sharp style. Loving it!
