I'm not sure what to say, except four days averaging three-four hours each, sitting at the computer screen until my eyes burned. Eight layers, burning, dodging, smudging, blurring, stippling and airbrushing. If I had used a mouse this would have taken twice the time and wouldn't have been anywhere as good.

I'm extremely proud of the diving orca's back with his saddle actually looking like a proper marking rather than a grey patch slapped on. In my scraps folder for comparison [link] the first orca back drawn in Photoshop using a mouse, five years ago.

As for the water, bloody friggin' HELL! I have always known that water is difficult to draw but DAMN! I'm not gonna be drawing that stuff for a while.

I love my tablet. *throws mouse against the wall, hugs tablet*
