At first I just decided to take over an old sketch to have fun... ended up finishing the actual drawing! Plus I'm quite satisfied with it, can you believe that?Yakeh's an old character, but I love her. Sexy dark skin... should draw that more often. To create the mood, I used a technique I developed with pastels in life drawing class: skin tones plus a background/theme colour. I noticed purple works well with dark/warm skin tones. I prefer bluish green for pink/light skin tones and a yellowish green for olive/mediterranean skin tones. Anyway. See the process here: sta.sh/01nep98fn91c
