The Chupacabra is a 5 foot tall creature of unknown origin. First spotted in Puerto Rico, and soon after seen throughout Central America and parts of the U.S., it is believed that there may be dozens of them spread across the continent. Because most sightings have only been brief glimpses, as the creature hunts only during the night, little is truly known about it. One of the only things that persists between sightings is the creature's diet. The Chupacabra attacks primarily livestock, using the tri-tripped proboscis in its mouth to puncture the neck of prey and drain them completely of blood. There have also been reports of the Chupacabra attacking humans, shredding them with its razor-sharp claws and bladed tail. Rumors say that they can be driven off by sufficiently powerful lights, as their eyes are especially sensitive to bright lights.

The most notable encounter with Chupacabras took place in 1974 when a large Mexican farm was attacked by a small swarm of Chupacabras over the course of a week. This behavior had never been recorded before or since and it is unclear what caused this anomalous assault.
