Next up, we tackle another kaiju, this one being 1961's Gorgo! This one came together pretty easily, as there was plenty of references to work off with so many redesigns of this creature already. Though because of this, it became a little hard to follow the original design without looking too much like any of those remakes in question. So much so that I changed up the pose I was doing because it looked like one design, then had to change it again because now the pose was identical to another! Eventually though, I decided on this pose and design that I think came together quite nicely.

I decided to keep the overall shape mostly identical to the original to homage that classic kaiju look, but went with scutes and armor more along the lines of a crocodile or an alligator to compliment her more aquatic nature. I then decided to move her frill forwards towards her mouth, to act more like the mouth of a sarcastic fringehead, with the frill expanding as she roared. Little Ogra on the other hand, I decided to make much more colorful and made him more of a quadruped with underdeveloped back legs. His body would be more akin to a seal at this point, developing into the more muscular theropod-style kaiju as he grows. Their potential addition to Fury of the Titans would be as some of the background kaiju, and they wouldn't be the same characters obviously, but a loving homage.
