Description "Miss Starlin is not a human being any longer. The enzymes have changed her. She will destroy the girl as an evil wasp would destroy her enemies. And then devour the remains."

Our next stop is 1959's The Wasp Woman! This was another one that I came into with a basic but strong idea. Now the original Wasp Woman was already a fairly unnerving and nasty design, even if the effects are rather dated by today's standards. So my goal was to top that in both regards, which meant I had to look to something that already nailed the formula. Enter 1986's The Fly, the quintessential body-horror film featuring a gorgeously grotesque human-insect hybrid. With that in place, I decided on one more fun twist, which, as you can see...is that this is another sequel!

After the events of Monster From Green Hell, it is discovered that the Royal Jelly from the Queen Wasp is capable of halting the aging process in most animals. Using her contacts, Miss Starlin is able to steal a batch to keep herself a young woman in the cutthroat fashion industry. What she didn't know, is that the jelly eventually consumes the host from the inside-out and turns them into a giant wasp, with Starlin forming a new queen. Everything quickly fell into place after all that was set-up, with me using my love for nasty body horror to transform her into a nasty, nasty hybrid. This was another one where everything just came together so well in my opinion.
