Description "There's evil all round me. It's here tonight! I can feel it!!"

We stop again in 1958, seemingly another good year for monster movies, for The Woman Eater! When I first pulled this one from the folder, I thought I'd have an easy time, but this was kind of a tough one, as there was fun originality to how strange the original design was and also how to make a human-eating plant/tree monster that doesn't just follow the Venus fly trap. But I was glad to try and put my own spin on it, as TriZen will have a whole host of plant creatures that I'll have to figure out, so again, some good practice. What I ended up with is a bizarre mix of a variety of plants, real and not, that I initially wasn't too excited about, but came to like as time passed.

One thing I knew I wanted to keep was the shaggy "fur" that coated the original. Beyond that, I had no idea what I wanted to do. I ended up looking up a variety of plants and trees, but I couldn't quite find what I wanted. I then went to Pinterest and looked up "alien trees", which as always, gave some inspiration and got the ball rolling. I decided on these strange tree limbs which ended in colorful sacs, which eventually got me to the final design idea, because beyond those, little of the initial sketch remained the same. I originally wanted to keep the weird little caterpillar legs the tree used to pull women into the tree, and had a yonic mouth shape to feed them into. However, I didn't like the way it was coming together and erased the whole bit. Instead, I replaced the limbs with grasping vines that would pull the victims in. But to what? Then I remembered pitcher plants, and it all came together. The vines pull the victim into the pitcher, the pitcher drains them, and their lifeforce is stored in the sacs. Now the concept was complete. I'll admit, the coloration and concept was based entirely on me using this for TriZen, so there, a little look into how I'd use some of these for other projects.
