Description "Well, this isn't terrifying. Like, at all."

After the attack on the coast, TriZen was more determined than ever to explore the Leviathan Zone, to find its secrets, barricade its horrors and above all, get closer to the life-giving gift that the mighty Leviathan holds. So it was decided that they would mount an expedition, deeper than any otter, to further explore this mysterious region. The chosen crew was briefed; told they would be guided by a second sub, driven entirely by AI and containing a mysterious crystal meant to keep them safe. They were also told of the mysterious mega-entity that lay dormant there, the titular Leviathan, a creature so vast it encapsulated the entirety of the Bermuda Triangle and then some. With this knowledge in mind, the crew nervously accepted their mission, diving deep into the mysterious depths...

That awe stayed, but also began to give way to that familiar sense of dread. This was a graveyard, for all the lost pilots and sailors that the massive Leviathan plucked from the surface. It was now more than ever that the crew put their faith in that crystal in the sub ahead of them. The subs slowed, so as not to crash into any of the swaying tentacles or sunken wrecks. Here, in the dark, unforgiving abyss, the subs slowly drifted, consumed by silence. Dread permeated the inhabitants of the vessel, as every tentacles soft movement set off the dull ping of the radar.

It was when those pings became more numerous, and more frequent that the dread turned to terror. Things were moving about in the ship graveyard, and they were big. The captain reminded the frantic crew of the warning TriZen had issued. While the crystal would protect them from Leviathan, it would attract the attention of the local wildlife, as it had deep within the earth. That was what the electrical barrier was for and why the crystal was located on another sub. The captain's reassurance was enough to settle their fears, but that sense of dread still remained.

It wasn't long before their observers made themselves known. Massive crustaceans, some exceeding 80 feet in width, began crawling of the derelict wrecks that littered the writhing floor. The large creatures exhibited curiosity, prodding at the passing subs, but were deterred by powerful electric shocks, just as promised. As most of the smaller crabs retreated back to their nests, the crew began to feel true relief for the first time since the expedition started. But it didn't last for long, as something else large approached and at incredible speeds. It collided with the AI piloted sub in front of them at high speeds, smashing it into the writhing floor and destroying it, though judging by the noises this mysterious attacker made, it wasn't unharmed by the shock it received. While the unseen attacker retreated, the team realised in horror that they'd need to use a rover to retrieve the crystal, lest they be at the mercy of the surrounding tentacles.

The retrieval went smoothly, but upon bringing it aboard, the mysterious predator returned. The captain, thinking quickly and desperately, overloaded the electrical barrier sending out a powerful shockwave of electricity. The ploy worked, as the creature retreated once again, but not before returning fire. It too sent out a pulse, temporarily shutting down the vessel's electrical systems. The team scrambled to repair the sub's systems, as they were now defenceless against the predators of the deep. As if aware of this, the massive crustaceans began to re-emerge, with the largest specimen yet making a beeline for the downed vessel...
