Description An other part of my underwater serie. check "no mercy" for more details. I used the song wild rose from nick cave and kylie minogue, it was part of my experement to photograph people who are under water. My best friend Philear was my model victom for this new "obsession". Phil thank you!

I used a stock photo for the water effect from
2004

A little scenery:
"On the last day I took her where the wild roses grow
And she lay on the bank, the wind light as a thief
As I kissed her goodbye, I said, 'All beauty must die'
And lent down and planted a rose between her teeth "

"wild roses, nick cave"

It's so stylised and beautiful! The cracks are just amazing and the dotted petals absolutely perfect! I happen to love this song also, and the Murder Ballards is so funny/sick/twisted/inspiring. Gotta love his work...and now yours too!

Nice effect Some of the rose petals look like tiny fighter fish, since they're also beautifully colored. Great photo+manip!

Lovely piece of work - the colours seem to have a glow all of their own. I love what you've done with the petals too. The only criticism I have is the cracks in her skin - I feel that they cheapen it slightly (because there a lot of (poorer) pieces on dA with similar ideas). Otherwise, it's great.

A very emotional piece indeed. It makes me think of a painless, slow death, like a drifting in a dream. This is my favourite of the three, because of the pose of the hand, I guess. Congratulations for choosing such a peculiar face as a model.

Oh yeah, I've missed one word - "YOU". I didn't pay for my payed account on DA myself too (huggles goes to a very nice man, from Canada, which is overseas for me, that have bbought me an account after knowing me for 24h... ) and I know that a lot of people on DA have sponsors if they're good. You're definitely good, and someone should pay for at least half-a-ayear subscribtion on DA for you!

beautiful manipulation here! especially the ripple texture on the face together with the roses gives a great impression.
i think the ripples on the hand are a bit out of place though.
apart from that a beautiful piece with some great atmosphere
good work!

Also very nice! The cracks on the cheek nearly appear to crack her percelain skin, eventhough the skin is just a bit too detailed to really look like porcelain. I think her head should have been under water too to make it look that way. Nonetheless a very nice shot! The picture looks sort of peacefull yet sad.
