Description

As ya may know, I'm a Warhammer guy, and have been starting to prefer the Age of Sigmar lore and models as of late-ish.

In Age of Sigmar there's a faction of elves (are they elves still?) called Kurnothi, who are warriors that worship the aelven god of The Hunt, Wilderness and Hunger, Kurnoth.

Now, since the Warhammer Fantasy 'End Times' lore has been shaken up quite a bit, so I'm a little fuzzy on what is still canon. Though, I believe it's only been since the End Times, that the aelven (fancy AoS speak for elven) Kurnothi faction has risen to the fore.

In the AoS tabletop game there has been little support for this faction, but what has been released has come in the way of half elf/half satyrs, Centaurs and just regular ol' Wood Elves (my dear faction from Warhammer Fantasy).

That's where my head-canon comes in; the 'Cursed Gourmands of Kurnoth' (still work-shopping that name, was gonna go with 'Daughters', but in hindsight, I'd like some... boars in there too. The Cursed Gourmands are a subgroup of Kurnothi who have strayed too close to the 'Glades of the Endless Feast' and have tasted that forest's cursed bounty of delicious fruits, vegetables and most damning of all... mushrooms.

Once consuming enough of the cursed glade's edibles one will find themselves under the spell of a fiendish curse that will see them turn gradually more pig-like with every time they eat more than their fill.

These Swine Cursed individuals are generally looked down on by their elven peers, being seen as those with a weak fortitude, to give in to their more base desires when in such a notorious place as the Glade of the Endless Feast. Though the elves also fear these Kurnothi, for there's rumors abound that their curse could actually be contagious!

This viewpoint often leaves the cursed individuals to fall in with rogues and rangers, where superstition does not so readily control them. In these groups the Swine Cursed are valued for their keen senses of smell, and in some cases, if the changes have progressed enough the cursed will become large and brutish warriors, welcome muscle in groups that are known for being wiry and slippery. They also often team up with other cursed Kurnothi as they scour the realms seeking remedies to slow their affliction, or most fabled of all; the means to stop the mutation outright, once and for all.

Anywho, thank you for reading a stranger's lore

Point is, some day I'd like to learn 3D modeling, so I can print some of these Swine Cursed elves and get them on the tabletop.
