Two regal sisters who ruled together and created harmony for all the land. The eldest used her unicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn; the younger brought out the moon to begin the night. The older sister began to wonder why she couldn't be the sole ruler and raise both the sun and moon, so she slowly began making reasons to take over Luna's duties. Luna quickly became suspicious and Celestia and Luna began dueling. Luna overpowered Celestia with the aide of King Sombra, the ruler of the Crystal Empire and banished her from the castle, but not before stripping her of her alicorn status.

Bitter and without enough power to retaliate against Luna again. At least not on her own. Celestia, in a time of weakness and anger, used all of her remaining powers to free the King of Chaos himself, Discord from his stone prison. Discord, of course, was eager to start causing chaos immediately, but Celestia stopped him. She needed time to build up power again. And she had a plan.

Celestia and Discord storm the castle together, only to be met with those strongest and closest to Princess Luna (Sombra, Royal Captain Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, and Luna herself). Luna begs Celestia to forgive her, but Celestia tells her it's too late. As a part of their plan, Discord combines his chaos magic with all of Celestia's magic focused on an extremely risky spell. A piece of dark magic that only Luna and Sombra even vaguely remember. Discord and Celestia fused their magic - and their souls and bodies - into one.

The spell created a large explosion, leaving many of the warriors with damage ranging from scars to burns to loss of magic altogether in Sunset's case. After the dust cleared, the draconequus before them cackled and announced "My name is Anarchy! Be amazed by my prescence! Who here is the ruler?"

Upon this question, everyone let their guard down. The huge beast that claimed to be called Anarchy looked around quizzically. Luna was the first to speak up. "I am the current ruler of Equestria, Anarchy. Dost thou not remember me? Sister, are you still in there? Celestia, do you remember your sister?"

Anarchy stared blankly. Luna turned to the rest of the ponies. "Is my sister gone? Can we undo this spell? Can we get my Celestia back?"

Sombra cautiously requested that Anarchy answer some questions, and Anarchy happily, if not a little confusingly, complied. After a while of talking with the draconequus, Luna and Sombra concluded that Anarchy had the personality and technical "souls" of both Celestia and Discord, but had retained none of the memories. ((A/N: think like, Gilderoy Lockhart style)).

Over the years, Luna and Sombra tried along with all most powerful magic users to try to separate the two. Anarchy, not really understanding what was happening, was very compliant with all of the tests they had to undergo. Sunburst finally concluded that, given the nature of the spell that was used combined with Discord's chaos magic, separating Anarchy would almost definitely result in Celestia and Discord dying. Sombra thinks that it may be a good idea. The possibility of Anarchy trying to take over Equestria is very likely, and they don't know the extent of their powers. Luna, however, refuses. She knows that her sister is still there, she can feel it in the way that Anarchy loves bathing in the sun, in the way that they are eager to meet new ponies, in the way that they cover their mouth when they giggle, but also have a deep belly laugh complete with snorts. Luna can't kill her sister. She can't be responsible for losing her again.

Sombra cannot bear to argue with Luna. He entrusts her with the responsibility of helping integrate Anarchy into society. Luna agrees of course. Anarchy lives with Luna in Canterlot. They are still sort of learning how to properly harness their magic, and their test runs often result in fires or explosions or various animals running rampant in the castle. The fact that Luna and Celestia never actually reconciled before Anarchy spawned doesn't fail to enter Luna's mind every time she sees Anarchy. Anarchy doesn't really understand the sad smiles that Luna gives them, but they enjoy the company of the Princess either way. It's familiar to them. Nostalgic.

Anarchy has had some trouble with interacting with the ponies of Equestria. They are eager to chat with ponies, but the ponies are usually terrified of Anarchy. Cadence has made it one of her goals to try to help Anarchy gain a good reputation with ponies. They haven't been super successful yet. But they're getting there. Twilight doesn't particularly love the fact that potentially one of the most powerful beings in Equestria is being treated as if they are a harmless foal, but she has been told to only use force on Anarchy if absolutely necessary. She's a loyal Captain of Luna's Guard, so of course she listens to orders.

I may add more later, but here's Anarchy! I went a weird route with this. I wasn't even completely sure where I was going with it when I designed Anarchy. I just knew I didn't want a Dislestia child per se. But I loved Anarchy's design too much to kill them off HA literally like the only reason they live oops
I'm gonna post about a scrapped idea I had for Anarchy later.
