I like being protected
But I don't always need to be
I like to listen to your story
But I would also like to speak

There is more under the surface
Under my surface
A hidden spirit
Waiting to be accepted
Not by the world
But accepted by me

Two words
Two dimensions becoming one
One with nature
And one with the universe
I had my heart closed for so long
So I couldn't see where I belonged

All I want now is living from my heart
Listen to my inner voice
Instead of the rest of the world
With all that noise

So this is who I am
Sometimes I'm scared
Sometimes I cry
But I still stand after a storm
I don't just stand there to die

I'm working on loving myself
And maybe I'm not there yet
But I know
Eventually that's what I will get

No more lies
No more pretending and fitting in
This is me
Who I'm meant to be
And there is no one else who has to agree
This is me
