I LOVE THIS POEM.
It completely sings out the feelings of people on both sides. Usually it just focuses on either the shooters or the victims. But you combined the two, and pulled it off very well.
The thoughts of the shooter and the random cool kid meld together nicely; you showed how their lives were drastically different right from the start, where one wrote in his Die-ary and the other had a normal boring day at school. And so on, and I can totally get into the rest of the poem. It rocks, it's so full of concept. Concept is my favorite part of Columbine works.
I have to admit though, I winced at the first BANG paragraph. What's-her-name. So much for Lauren Townsend. Ouch.
But I loved the passage about run-or-die, run-and-die, it's your choice. You didn't give me a choice. I love that. It's so powerful.

Thank you so much! I can understand the point about the Lauren Townsend line, but if you do look at it from the shooter's point of view the lack of emotion makes a lot of sense.

You're welcome. This was a big thing to me; I was young when it happened, but as I grew older I realized what it really was, and sadly, I know a lot about it now.
Oh! I wasn't saying you weren't being sensitive about Lauren. I did understand fully that it lacked emotion because it was from the shooter's point of view. It just made me wince. Oh, yeah, and the "two more" line...that was accurate because she was shot multiple times randomly, although she was killed by the first.
