absolutely awesome! i love the dark sadistic setting, it suits the other two poems perfectly. excellent shading, and great style. it's very Tim Burton.

Wow, it's different than the poems led me to expect, but I like it.

I enjoy how this is cartoonish, but morbid. I like how the contrast of the darkened ink against the clean white background makes it stand out, but it has the right about of blending to where it doesn't jump out at you. I like the guy on the right hand of the man that is throned, he seems as he's the "right hand man" of this ruler, and will do any dirty deed for him. The grotesque tree really adds up to it as well, and the hanging men beside it. As well as the observers in the background, which makes me recall the great line of your poem...

I watch from afar
From a hole in my own
Treasureless box

The rest of it all fits together so well, the grim looking death figure over the man especially. This is an awesome series, keep up the amazing work....this has inspired me to get back to work on that picture I was working on, as well as some stuff in pottery class, I'll be working with that as well. Thank you much for creating such an inspiring piece!

forgive the lag on my reply, i've been quite busy

im glad its different from what you expected.. a good book has an unexpected ending, doesnt it? also glad you like it

yes, i was worried on how the white BG would come out on screen, but then i fixed it a bit with photoshop, so it doesnt steal the attention from the actual drawing..

i like your interpretation of some of the elements, as of course everyone gets a different perception of the whole thing.
in the poem, the 'watch from the box' metaphor was aimed more at the outside world (outside my head ), as the observers in the drawing were aimed at myself, in a manner of introspection if you want.

this last part is a sum of past life elements, all damaged and bruised, corrupted.. as at the time of that drawing i felt like even my self was alien to me. hence the watchers not being 'dead'. they're the only remaining safe parts, even though they're trapped (the one sitting on the other one's prison being obsessed with protecting the caged one)

hmm.. well that was fun sorry if i unwillingly spilled out some internal bleeding at you

Hehe... Bleeding's fun...especially the outward kind. I much enjoyed this series...which makes me remember, I need to scan that damn drawing I did, based on this. It's kind of plain, moreso than I had hoped for, but oh well, I'm going to attempt at coloring it once I get it scanned. I'll be working on that, as well as something else over on ~m3ch4try thanks to the comments from a good man.

Again, great work on the series, it's quite unique and creative, and you don't get a lot of that these days.
