Been rereading the Harry Potter series lately. And signed up with Pottermore, mostly for the original content. Turns out it's got some pretty sweet art, too.This is based off the duel at the end of Goblet of Fire - such a powerful scene. Fawkes may not have actually been present, but Rowling's description of the phoenix song always gets to me. Fawkes' and Harry's design are not movie-based; Harry's robes are partially based on the choir robe I wore in high school, which had long, straight pleats down the front. I'm not sure I got his proportions right, but oh well.

Same here - the description of the song makes me feel like I'm being transported. I think this is a beautiful depiction of that moment, and it's quite stunning. I like your version of his robes, and you can see the determination in the stance and grip, even if the expression isn't there; so that's a feat in its own.
