Special Abilities:

Spirit Blessings - By painting symbols on her own body, or the bare skin of others, she can channel her spirit magic directly through them causing different effects depending on the type of spirit paint used and the symbols drawn. Mostly used for defensive purposes as symbols have to be prepared before being able to 'activate' their effects. Focusing spirit magic this way is extremely taxing on Nuru's stamina.

Example of a spirit blessing - A symbol is drawn on the forehead of a person suffering from fever. Nuru will then focus her energy through the symbol for a basic healing effect. NOTE: Her healing abilities are minimal.

Spirit Vision - Not yet developed.

Animal Influence - Nuru is empathic towards animal and can share and detect the emotions of them. It is sometimes possible to use this ability to manipulate animals to her advantage. She can slip into their skin for only seconds at a time, however, and this requires a great amount of energy.

History:

Childhood to Young Adult - Nuru grew up amongst her tribe in Sa-Ahn, in the thick of nature. Her family sported centuries of Shamans and she, at the age of 6 was chosen to continue this tradition. She began honing her abilities amongst the close knit tribal group, but soon began to become bored with her every day life. She started wandering off from her tribes village, each time venturing farther and farther away from her home. Her encounters with travelers piqued her interest and she began learning about the vast lands beyond her own little village.
At the age of 19, Nuru was graced with the 'honor' of being offered to the tribal chieftain's son, as a wife. She blatantly refused the offer in public, insisting that he was weak, undesirable and was unworthy of one such as herself. The chieftain, outraged by the insult to his own blood cut her ties from the tribe, and forbid her from ever returning.

It was then that Nuru lost her family, her tribe and her heritage. Never was she allowed to return. She set off, finally unrestricted by the binds of tradition her tribe held.

Joining the Earthran Army - Nuru may have grown up in a remote tribe, but they were always self-proclaimed Earthrans and proud of this fact. After being banished from her tribe and wandering for almost a year, Nuru had her first contact with the Earthran Military. Having had purpose elude her for the time she had spent travelling, Nuru decided to investigate into this 'military' outfit more closely.
Nuru's nature is naturally curious, and she learns by experiencing. This ultimately leads to her finding her way into the Earthran Army.

Nature - Nuru is feisty and daring. Her curiosity of the unknown world often gets the better of her, but her cunning usually manages to get her out of any undesirable situations. She feels that she has no need to satisfy anyone but herself, and will take what she wants. However, she has little to no need for money, as she is content with living off the land. She does however enjoy the company of men and will often use them for her own pleasures, but never forms a lasting attachment.
In battle she is cool-headed and quick to respond to any threat. Her melee capabilities with a staff are excellent, although if she does manage to get hit, it's often dangerous or even deadly as she... doesn't cover up any more than she needs to..
