Description I recently acquired a pyography kit so thought I'd have a bit of fun making some Christmas decorations for friends. This is for one of my friends Jenny who is a big fan of Stitch.

I used tracing paper to transfer an outline of Stitch onto the star and then went over it with the pography pen. A few places went a little darker than I'd like, but not bad saying it's about my 5th piece.

Woo, more people taking to pyrography! It can be hard to keep the line even - especially where the grain int he wood is quite pronounced. I don't notice the darker bits you mentioned so it's probably fine!

I think the darker spots show up a lot more on the actual wood, though looking back at it I'm still impressed with it saying it was about my 4th piece I'd ever made. I certainly have a lot more respect for the art form after trying it and found it obviously takes a lot of practice to make some of the pieces I've seen.

Thanks. I'm surprised how easily it would burn the wood. I was fully expecting to need to press down hard to make an impression.
