Description Species/Creature name: Tingo (plural is still Tingo) (derived from Pascuense meaning “the act of taking objects from a friend’s house by borrowing them one at a time and not returning any of them).

Brief Physical Description: Two feet tall, six legged furry creatures.  They have a long tail, and beautiful fur.  They often travel on just four legs, and can look like some tiny furry centaur.  They have three “toes” per appendage, with retractable claws.  Large eyes, extremely cute.

Weaknesses: They’re small, and though they’re pretty strong for their size (and can carry 2-3 times their body weight), they still aren’t strong enough to fight against larger species one on one.  They are easily distracted by shiny objects and have been known to fight amongst themselves for trinkets that sparkle.

Strengths: Intelligent, very cooperative with the rest of their species.  They have a bit of magic, to help them escape.  They can climb basically anywhere, and are not to be taken lightly.  They gather information very well, and can communicate with all other species (the level of communication depends on their own abilities.  They generally don’t like to take sides during times of strife, and are also frequently looked down upon/not taken seriously due to their size.

Fears: losing loved ones, and family, and their individual hoards of shinies.

Aspirations: Collect all the shinies.  Honestly they’re not extremely political.  They like being known as great thieves, especially in their own communities.

Diet: Omnivores: nuts, fruit, meat, etc. They can cook food, but most prefer to eat everything raw.

Behaviors (How you know what he/she is thinking): They often express their feelings through their tails and ears, much like dogs and cats do.  They also communicate together using chirps, and squeaks, and gesturing with their first two limbs.  They hide when afraid, and hiss and growl when angered.  They will fight if cornered (much like a rat will).  They steal things, and often utilize certain items that are too large for them in other manners. (for example, using a coin as a belt buckle or something).

Habitat: They live in the forests and mountains, but they roam all over the world.  They are a bit nomadic, and do not tend to stay in one location for extremely long.  Tingo tend to curl up together.

Reproduction: They tend to have litters, ranging from 2-8 tingo each time.
