Description "In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed."
- William Ernest Henley, 'Invictus'

Experimental speedpaint from January 2014, took about 2 hours. I was playing around with SAI and Photoshop to see what sorts of effects the programs could create.
Inspired by the poem 'Invictus' (Latin for 'unconquered'). I imagine this guy is wielding some sort of magic staff in a desperate last-ditch attempt to conquer a foe.

Thanks ama!! I played around with some different brushes to make the fur so it went a lot faster than usual. (Plus it's just drawing loads of lines haha)

Oh pfft, it usually takes everyone forever to draw millions of lines! May I ask what brushes you used? They just look like normal hard round brushes

I haven't got the brushes anymore because I switched to a new laptop this year but I made a brush (with three dots) so it would draw multiple lines at the same time.... I just wanted to see how that might work for fur but I initially intended to use it for drawing grass or such. I also made a brush that was shaped like a triangle which I remember I used too. I played around with the different brush settings in photoshop as well though I don't remember what exactly I did since it was a long time ago D:
