I figure they don't actually want him dead but the bullying is too much
it was okay when it was just teasing but it's so constant and focused only on him that it's become bullying
any time Toby says anything the responses range from "shut up" to "no one cares" or they ignore him and friends don't do that to one another
they may not hate him but they're not treating him with the respect he deserves as a valued member of the ADVENTure and as a friend in general
