Scanner ate all shinyness! This is what it looks like in real life!

Anyway. This is for Creature-Lovers weekly contest number 13...I couldn't resist this theme: Bones. I instantly thought mah postcreated creatures so what I could do except create totally new one. |D ... Title became randomly when I checked my wall calendar and it said today is the last quarter of moon. So... It also affected to the creature's essence more than I ever expected.

This thing, yes, shines. It appears randomly in temperate and cold areas by bright cloudless nights. Its metallic looking skeleton is shiny by its own but especially all gems and floating glass-like parts reflect and multiply light of stars and moon, making whole creature such awesome looking when it flies in night sky. During full moon it can be brighter than moon itself.
It never makes any voice or harms anybody - it should have some powers but nobody knows better. Everybody has seen it just flying by. It is never seen in daytime either. Some suppose that sunlight would become destructive because this creature multiplies all light, thus it hides all days to protect everybody from itself.
