HEEEEEEEY, you finally did it! You sucked in your gut, puffed out your chest, and decided to draw the Ennereanes people ALL. IN. ONE. PICTURE. YOU HAVE DONE IIIIIIIT.
This picture really makes me want to go and do my own species in one picture, but I'm not sure if I should encompass the entire Raurana galaxy, totalling at 13 peoples, or stop at Aman5 with only 4. Hmmmmm. Ah, I'll have to do that when life's more stable.
This thing made me gush because I'm just so fond of the Ennereanians: they're typically anthro-looking at first glance, but you've given them so much cultural, psychological, and physiological development that they instead drip brilliance. Usually people just animalize humans, toss on a few cultural traits, and call it "done". These guys were at that level back in 2006, but now they're each immediately recognizable and each a people of their own. If, ah, if that makes any sense. Haha! I'm still hoping to see new infosheets for each of these species, along with all the societal heft you've built up. You've shared all their cultures/etc with me; hopefully all the others will get the same!
(...my favorite race is still the salkahi. I dunno, I just love their hilarious, compensating use of group ethics. Yeah they're small and soft and delicate, but AS A TEAM THEY'RE LIKE YEAH TEAR DOWN THOSE WALLS :D)
Anyways, ah, onto the picture, very beautiful job as usual! You made great use of texture and form, and the composition shows off just how well these guys line up. It's awesome to get to see how their shapes contrast, from the squat and rocky arimanders to the graceful datyles. Your inclusion of the two moons is cool too, since we don't see them too often. I like the muted colors, too. It looks very chilly there! Better ge the arimanders some sweaters. My only critique would be to have given the foreground feathers a wispier texture, to show that they're actually feathers. You don't show much datyl wing in the foreground, so the feathers there could otherwise be mistaken for something else like pine trees. Whoops!
Aside from that, absolutely lovely picture, MoA. I love it-- love it LOVE IT! Aaah it gave me smiles. <3

For the first yet not the last time.
Next time probably something with more random interaction than just standing. ... Just thinking what would happen if you drew all 13 of yours together and not just standing side by side but interacting...would that end well at all?
And once you've more back, I want to tell you all latest updates from past months. Sometimes I feel that these guys won't stop developing at all and as soon as I'd get some refs done, I should update them. |'D Not only them but the world too. I also know now the main reason behind a war which raged in that first story saga I started to think as little as 10 years ago. Yes, only took nearly 10 years to get an idea what the hell is the main POINT behind whole thing. Oh yea.
I guess what is outside also matters to art, here has been winter a while already and it's just begun...
To talk about feathers...I now remember you have mentioned this already ffff I tend to stick with MoA-style plastic feathers too easily. x'> Pine tree feathers are new addition.
Baww. Now I feel I must take a mission "give Ribs more smiles". cx

An interaction piece sounds great, yeah! I may do something like that with the 4 Aman5 races, then save the line-em-up pic for all the galaxy's races. An interaction piece with all of Raurana would NOT end well... dear god no. :'D
But yes maam, I read in your note about your "updates" and I'll share my thoughts in a minute (tackling msg replies first). It was definitely great, and it's awesome to see somebody else considering the sexuality behind a race. People never think about sex and gender, just bare bones things like design and basic culture and factions. But sometimes it takes a while for ideas to emerge, like these species' cultures or (in my case) even huge things like Emalia's proper ending. Worldbuilding doesn't always go fast!

Hohohooo mutaatiodatyyli.

I love seeing other people's original worlds! Your ideas are always so interesting and wonderful to read about and it's obvious you put a lot of thought and heart into making the setting come to life.
I'm not very far with my own forever project, but I am in the middle of giving everything a drastic design and story overhaul. I'm glad I realised how full of overpowered sues and generic ham my first 2005 idea was. It's so funny how doing the most insignificant feeling 'silly side project' turned out instrumental to maturing my whole style.

Thanks. Worldbuilding seems to be a lifelong project but why not... I personally like to read worlds and characters too (rather than novel long descriptions of someone's outer appearance - no, I goddamn don't care sheets where personality explanation is shorter than explanation of how fingernails are curved.)
Some revamp is necessary especially if the world is old enough, and in my case I was 15 when this started. Original settlement was a fantasy story with so much clichés that I guess it was all there was. Then time went by. And...all major characters from 2004 are still here, just the story has become a full world. And characters are changed, more or less. It was kind a funny, some of them I had had eight years and suddenly: "Hey thanks for drawing me correctly, now let me tell you a few things about myself..."

You're the only person I've seen whose characters spontaneously talk and reveal unexpected information. This idea is constantly really fascinating to me. In fact I think you are someone who made me think about my own characters and their development in some new perspectives. So er, thanks for being you.

Spontaneously is the word. Usually I'm doing nothing specific during the time when best ideas appear. Walking in a forest, sitting in a train, having a shower...etc. Freeing brains from everything is the key, then there's space for characters to talk and ideas to bloom. So if you ever want to get better contact with your characters, just forget this world for a little while.
"So er, thanks for being you." <- I appreciate that a lot.

I'll tell more by time. Piece by piece.
Probably a lot of vices at least. People always tell where their species/races are good at. I'd also like to hear about bad sides.
