Borg: Your culture will adapt to service us.
Dalek: DALEKS HAVE NO CONCEPT OF CULTURE! THE DALEKS SERVICE NO ONE!
Borg: Resistance is futile.
Dalek: DALEKS DO NOT RESIST! WE PURGE! WE KILL! WE CONQUER! WE EXTERMINATE!!! RAISE COMMUNICATIONS BARRIER!

Yeah, but that was Cybermen. Dalek polycarbide is tougher stuff.
Okay, that's fecicious. [sp? spellcheck was no help] I know it was an alliance, not the Borg trying to assimilate the Cybermen. But my comment about the Dalek armour casing stands.

Yeah the Borg live in the Star Trek Universe and Yes Daleks do have the Capability of Destroying Universes, but Do you really think the Doctor Would allow them to Wipe out the Star Trek Universe or a whole Galaxy? Because you do realize that the Borg live inΒ the Milky Way Galaxy right? All of Star Trek is in the Milky Way, and if the Daleks are in the Trekverse, then the Doctor's there as well. Plus if it's Just Borg verses Daleks ( NO Galaxy exploding) A few Borg would die and then they would adapt to the Daleks ray guns. Plus I really don't like those plunger wielding salt shakers.....

..........
ok I really only commented that the Borg would win because, I REALLY don't like the Daleks.
Β
The Borg can still adapt to Radiation though, Radiation shields, the Borg adapt, that's their skill they also have a tendency of regenerating their star ships.
Whatthe heck is the Biodata Virus? I've never heard of that

Vulcangirl327 In reply to TheOnlyEscapeIsDeath [2013-08-06 04:56:59 +0000 UTC]
Well I can't give you an example from an episode where they adapt to Radiation, because I can't prove anything that wasn't mentioned in the show. Second off PIcard used the Bullet on One or Two Borg, it takes more than one borg to be destroyed for them to adapt.Β THird the Borg couldn't adapt to the Species 8472 weapons because they were from Fluidic Space and used an Unknown energy force.
Β
Ok I am not a Dalek expert( I frankly hate those tin cans and avode them) but a friend of mine Who does know about Daleks told me that the BIodata Virus was used in a third Doctor episode and not the Time War. I assume that it works well for them, but there's always a fluke some where, someone somewhere in the Universe would still create the Borg, and Considering the Origin of the Borg is never really stated, it would be difficult for the Daleks to use the device to wipe them out from the very beginning

I surrender, You win.
My original comment wasnot supposed to instigate a feud or anything, It was meant more of a preference. To me the Borg are scarier than the Daleks. I've watched more episodes containing the Borg than I have the Daleks. I know the Daleks faced the Timelords and that's impressive, but it's hard too be afraid of a Salt Shaker on wheels wielding a Plunger and Whisk. I KNow they'reΒ supposed to be the most horrible thing in the UNiverse, but they have lousy aim and last I checked kept getting defeated by The Doctor. I like the Borg and I like the Cybermen, to me those are more frightening, since they are humanity( and aliens) converted into technological zombies almost without feeling or mercy, they simply exist to upgrade or assimilate, rather than just annihilate. Annilating is simple, just destroy everything in sight.
Β
Also apparently the othere episode that mentionthe Virus thingis Death of the Daleks I think. Not sure All I know was that is was a third Doctor and Jo Grant episode.Β

Sorry, I was running out of facts to keep the debate going....
Β
Yeah, I've seen the two Peter Cushing movies with the Daleks and frankly I think the Daleks in the Movie were actually the best( besides the Special weapons Dalek) I understand I guess why they don't remodel them, but seriously, they just really get on my nerves a bit, the producers and writers use them too much in my opinion and it might be cuz I didn't grow up through the Show, but I just don't understand why they're so popular, but I guess it's because they've practically been there since the beginning, but I've seen only a handful of Classic Who episodes and have seen monsters and Aliens that I find much more tactical and frightening than the Daleks. SO yeah you can throw me in the group who isn't a big fan of Daleks. Give me a Cyberman or Zygon anyday, just not those Daleks. I tolerate Daleks, but I don't go all crazy if I see one.
Β
I might've I really don't remember what it was called all I know is he told me it was a third Doctor episode with Jo, so yeah.
It was fun and frustrating at the same time. You definatly know your Borg and Daleks.

I seriously doubt that they could adapt to a biodata virus that would retroactively turn them all into baked beans, but OK.

And yet the Daleks can adapt as well. And the Borg can never assimilate the Daleks, because the very purpose of the Daleks conflicts with the very purpose of the Borg, Equally as mixable as oil and water.

In my opinion, when the Borg assimilate a single Dalek, they successfully connect its mind to the Borg but cannot alter its mind. This takes the Borg by surprise and gives the Dalek the upper hand. Plus, while the Borg constantly try to alter the mind of the Dalek, the Dalek attempts to alter the mind of the Borg. Due to the Dalek's advantage mentioned earlier, the Dalek is the first to succeed and basically reprograms the collective with Dalek ideas. The Borg have become Daleks. Of course, as soon as the Borg have exterminated all life in the universe, the Dalek will initiate a self-destruct program that exterminates the entire collective.
