This took a hell of a lot of work! First the hard thing was stylizing the ponies color / texture. Second a most time consuming thing was creating the background. I kept flipping back and forth between looking at the photo and comparing it to what I was drawing & painting, and translating people to ponies, shading, highlighting, ...etc.
.This is a joke idea I came up with maybe about a month ago of Salty kissing some mare pony in this classic imagery. The random mare I decided should also have some ocean theme to her so I picked Seashell for the idea.
Man the flipping back & forth needed between Corel Painter, Artrage, Photoshop, and Paintstar ....

The Big Brother Ponies were introduced in G1 Year 5, between 1986 - 1987, and were the first adult male My Little Ponies. If you grew up playing with MLP, you probably had at least one in your herd.
In Europe, additional males were produced, known as the Mountain Boy Ponies. Like their adventurous cousins the Big Brothers, they have shaggy hooves like Clydesdale horses. Their symbols are all related to meteorological elements.
