Look who got dragged into Esk. Thanks very much Shinerai >:E. Just kidding. I've been toying with the idea of getting into some ARPG/Adoptable game to use it as motivation to practise backgrounds!
And it worked. Dear Ikkit here motivated me to draw this forest scene and I learned alot c: Here's a short story to go along with it! Hope you enjoy.

"Deep in the woods of an ancient forest beams of sunlight made their way through the canopy and hit the ground painting the lush grass of a small clearing a bright green color. A slight breeze made the leaves rustle slightly and splashed some small waves against the shore of a nearby lake. Some frogs hidden in the shrubbery could be heard ribbiting and the song of a bird echoed through the branches from far away.

Yet the sun hitting the ground seemed a bit too bright and the shadows a tad too dark. An unnatural eerie feeling seeped onto the clearing from in between the tree trunks at it's rim. A shadow oozed out of the shrubbery. Darkness where none should be started rising from the ground like billows of smoke. Silky fur where no animal was became visible in between the greenery. Two pointy ears quickly moving from one side to the other trying to catch every sound in the environment twirled on top of a shadowy shape of a head. Suddenly the breaking of the branch prompted the being to jerk up. It's head quickly turned by 180° the creature stared to the other side of the clearing blinking with glacial speed. The fern on his back flared widely in shock. Slender long fingered hands frozen in their prior movement held perfectly still. The bright white eyes twinkled out of their black sockets like two stars.
Seemingly deciding that whatever origin the noise had was no threat to the wanderer Ikkit crouched down to resume whatever he had been doing before. Digging through the earth and moss on the ground he let his shadows trickle into the ground. It was not immediately apparent what exactly he was doing but it was probably causing some sort of mischief. "
