although, Disregarding my previous comment, i woudl say that If you promise somone to come back alive, you would Try slightly harder then those who dint, because you dont want to let down the people waiting for you

Well, there are a lots of ways to die in a war, besides combat.

i fucking suck at maths, but, because i take interest in confict, i can give some random gusses as to if they would come back alive
if there fighting other humans, like nazi's, or germans or somthing, then they would have a 50% chance of getting back alive
if they where fighting Alien soldiers like the ceph from Crysis 2, they would have a 30% of getting back alive
if they where fighting Alien Creatures that are smart and dont have any concience, like Xenomorphs, they would have a 3% of getting back alive
and if this all takes place in Woods or forrests like there Camoflauge suggest, i would say that lowers all of the above by 5%
