If you plan on restoring a dinosaur's facial integument a certain way, here's a handy little tool for you on which oral coverage corresponds with which jaw muscle coverage, because I see people get this wrong a lot.This isn't necessarily a be-all end-all guideline for every species, obviously there will be some outliers and morphological variation, this is just a rough guideline for general trends seen in sauropsid anatomy.
Note: I used Tyrannosaurus for demonstrative purposes only, in actuality Model 1 would have been the most likely oral coverage for several reasons.

Please elaborate a little more, for our sake. What are the "several reasons"? I think you should be a little more specific when discussing highly controversial and open-ended scientific subjects -- especially when you're comments show a sharp and evident preference to one side of the discussion. (BTW I am impartial in the discussion of Tyrannosaur oral tissue)

Most probably yes. In some animals large teeth remain hard to spot even in open mouths thanks to lips, cheeks, gums and tongues overwhelming them in soft tissue. The same might have been true for ancient animals (Witton 2018).

You're speaking as if archosaurs aren't the poster children of extreme derivatives. And speaking of preferential treatment for aesthetics, why on earth would a large, terrestrial theropod feature an extreme lack of tissue that's evolved as an adaptation to a largely aquatic lifestyle, if not for the pursuit of aesthetics and a lackluster, furthermore lazy attempt at showing off the facial anatomy of an extinct creature. I've heard certain 'professional' individuals refer to reconstructions with actually plausible facial tissue as 'doofy', which speaks volumes to the aesthetic preferences over the pursuit of honest science.
