Really a nice shot, although it seems to be a little bit too dark on the left half of the picture (especially on the black figures - but that is just my personal impression).

I like the overall concept that you've got here. The board and the wooden floor go well together. My only complaint is that I think the lighting is a bit harsh on the board. (Of course, trying to get perfect lighting when using natural light only is a trial in and of itself)

Very nice, but I personally would do that from lower prospect - from ground level; two kings in the foreground, "dead" other figures in the background or on left/right.
Of course that's only different concept.

yeah, i took many photos of this set-up, and tried playing with the pieces as well, so i had hundreds of shots. I decided to go with this one, as it was one of the more symbolic ones, and also the quality of the photo was good (i was playing around with the iso settings on my camera)

Very interesting. I like how it's place out of the center of focus, at an angle, and more in the background. It gives the piece alot more depth and originality. Also, I like that you can see the other pieces strewn on the floor, and all that's left are the kings. What an interesting concept... very thought evoking actually. Unique piece

This is nice...I love how you can see it is a chess game board (and peaces) - but I think the lighting need to be more dem on the right side- and more lighter on the left, its looks as though the right side is sucking out the light - but over all at first glance, this is quite lovely!
