Sam was really getting used to his unusual height. He left the point where he could call himself normal a long time ago. Thus, he moved around the town with greater self-confidence.
Like now, when his stomach reminded him that he hadn't eaten anything in several hours and it was time. So he joined a line in front of a nice fast food restaurant to buy enough food to keep him from being hungry until lunch.
Although he naturally handled his height, the people around him not so much. The crowd was still staring at him. Which is no wonder, since a teenage boy whose adults barely reach his waist is a truly impressive sight. Then there are the boy's huge bare feet.
Sam just wants a little food, but that's the way his life is, since food is only needed so that his body can continue to grow awkwardly.
