Finally, done. I bullshit my way through the backgrounds again. But it works.
I also changed the speechbubbles. Again. I think I saw it from Akreon. I like this speechbubbles, for one they don't cover as much of the panels as the old ones, and also they are way easier to draw. I am kinda lazy.

That doesn't suprise me . His facial structure is a lot softer than for example Dayhawk's (though he was also thought of as a girl before, lol), with big eyes and a general small build. But that's also because he's still very young. Jade on the other hand is a full-grown MALE, as can hopefully be seen through his height xD. We try to work out their individual differences~ :'3.

Oh, I see. I tought Jade was a female too, because in my coutry (Portugal) we use that name for females

I cannot blame you. I still have difficulty making the distinction between males and females more obvious. Also Dayhawk is very young and bound to look a lot more girly then the older wolves.

Lol, I think no-one can deny that this is our practice-project, since we try something new on practically every page . Like in this case, the panels.

You're right, they don't block the view as much as the old ones, even though those were transparent. I guess I'll look at a few more comic examples to see how the "professionals" manage the speechbubbles. I'm so used to b/w-manga that I have no idea how to best handle them in a graphic novel .

I'm such a sucker for Jade's design. And I like how you finally see the differences between a grown wolf and our two little ones .

Just one suggestion: I think if you add some more speed lines on Dayhawk in panel 2, you could make the aprupt stop more... dramatic 8D?

The next concept is on it's way~.

I know what you mean. I have hardly any experience with comics myself. Neither comics nor manga. I jsut now start to pick things up from manga/graphic novels I read or at least look at occassionally.

Thought about that. My first try at the speedlines in that panel looks aweful. THen again, it was late at night and I just wanted to finish the page. ^^' I'll take a shot at it again soon.

What are you talking about? The BGs are awesome I really like your unique style for drawing these guys and you have really good dialogue flow, something a lot of animal comics lack.

Yeah, all the credit for the dialogue goes to *Tavaris . I mostly working on the story and the drawing/coloring of the pages. She manages the dialogues, because at the moment she is the driving force for the comic.

But I am glad you like the backgrounds and the style. Even though I know I still make a hell of a lot of anatomical mistakes, I kinda grew fond of this style to draw the wolves. It is a style I only use for "Sleight of Hand".
