Ah, that is understandable. You certainly captured those odd little houses cut into the slope well. Do you know, whether the house itself extends deep into the hillside, and any ideas about how they are built? Or any shots of the inside? I had some from my travels, but sadly they perished when my old laptop did.

yeah i know, but i had no chance to get inside on. they were all well locked

Yeah indeed, well I still have the hard drive from the old computer so in theory if I got the right hookups I could try to recover them. But they weren't anywhere near as good as my photos now are, anyway, so its not a huge deal. Thanks for the sympathy, though.

I backup every now and then on DVDs, though eventually I will try to buy an external hard drive when I can afford it. What do you use to backup?

backups on dvd/cdΒ΄s works for a few years, denpends on the quality of the dvdΒ΄s. i have a network RAID level 1 system with all my work and important documentsβ¦
