It was against women like this did Cicilia feel like she had finally reached the big-time. Yumi's name was not unfamiliar to anyone in this league. Even the lowliest of wretches have heard of it, if not seen her face. Her trademark bright-red hair and her peppy, friendly personality (to say nothing of her punches) had made marks-aplenty in this ring and now, it was Cicilia's turn to take the fight to her. She had seen enough of her matches over the years as she was coming up in the ranks to have SOME knowledge of how she fights, playing the traditional evasive speedster with enough punch behind her blows to punish mistakes. She was fast, efficient, and had enough gas in her tank to take ground-breaking hits from some of the biggest names in the league and so... the German realized that being a bulldozer wasn't going to work here. Sure, she could try to mow down Yumi with raw force alone, to overpower her with CRUSHING strength and RELENTLESS aggression. However, what good would that do her when she couldn't land a hit? Punches that could shatter walls weren't going to mean much if she couldn't hit the wall!

...No, she had to play this smart. Take her time. When her time came, Cicilia would make it count.

*DING!*

The fight began much as Cicilia had expected, with Yumi throwing punches like a hail of bullets while dancing around Cicilia's like a plastic bag in the wind! She was really taking the phrase "Float like a butterfly. Sting like a bee" to its roots! It wasn't long before Cicilia had nearly completely forsook her offense, ducking behind her arms as Yumi swung on her. Trading blows with a woman this quick was only going to result in getting PUMMELED four-to-one in hits landed and those numbers WOULD eventually add up against Cicilia in the long game. Even with the German focusing on defense, though, Yumi wasn't just going to keep swinging in one direction, ducking and slipping around Cicilia to get better shots in at her face and sides! Some slipped through, their impact nearly shaking Cicilia... but they weren't anything the German hadn't felt before. POWERFUL, yes, but not especially terrifying. No, Cicilia just kept PUSHING into Yumi, forcing her around the ring, dancing back and around her like a rabbit around a wolf. She seemed to be getting comfortable with this arrangement, taking risks, overextending just a bit...

...And leaving herself open.

Like the very canine itself, Cicilia EXPLOITED this feeling of security, DUCKING under Yumi's latest punch and throwing an UGLY uppercut into her stomach, knocking the wind out of the redhead and stunning her still! Thuggish blows then SMASHED into Yumi's face from both directions: left-right-left-right, sending her head arching in one direction, then the other! It was all the redhead could do, in her moment of shock, to defend herself, batting away Cicilia's blows as best she could... but HARDLY making an escape against the German's viciousness!

"How about a finishing move?" Cicilia growled, determined to put Yumi away NOW! "MASSIVE UPPERCUT!" Cicilia's arm SHOT up, her fist SMASHING into the underside of Yumi's jaw and sending it skyward, THROWING her whole body along with it up into the air! The redhead crashed to the ground in a heap feet from where she was launched, the German huffing with exertion as she shook her now aching hand. It took a lot of energy to launch that punch... now her shoulder, elbow and knuckles were throbbing from having to carry that much power.

The ref started counting and Cicilia retreated back, rolling her aching shoulder and stretching her arm, not allowing it to knot-up. If she could take Yumi down in the first round, finish her this quickly, her reputation would skyrocket. Worlds would open up to her she never knew were possible! She would-

...And then Yumi sat up at a count of "Six" and was up by "Seven" ...And Cicilia was left dumbfounded. She got up... from THAT beating...? And so QUICKLY too? Yumi wasn't exactly looking fresh but... if she was going to get up at all, Cicilia expected her to be delirious or something! No, this redhead looked READY for that second round!

"You're pretty tough, huh...?" Cicilia muttered, a serious expression flashing across her face. "I guess I'll have try harder to put you away."
