Description
Since I have been making some Tinkerbell fanart for a certain person who loves fairies, I had the idea that I could also try other versions of Tinkerbell (maybe also my very own, although I feel that I should have read the book first).
There are many for sure. But you wouldn't expect such an obscure example at THIS here now, would you?
This is a Tinkerbell version I found by accident via Google image search. I was looking for more foreign versions of "Peter Pan" out of curiousity because Wikipedia doesn't tell you all of what's out there. Then I found a series of stamps that were created in Israel for the International Stamp Exhibition in London (2010). The series handled classic children's books and "Peter Pan" was there as well.
While their Peter Pan looks pretty much like the Disney version of him, the Tinkerbell looks completely different.
Sure, the design isn't that awesome (in fact, the way she is dressed she could be more like Wendy...the only fairy feature are her wings) but I decided to have a try anyway because I like obscure things. And well...yeah...
And by the way: I realized later that she actually wears red shoes while my recreation of her is barefoot. My mistake.
Oh and I am not interested in stamps. Sure, they can be very pretty and I still write letters myself now and then but neither do I collect them or spare much interest in "special editions" or collections.

Done with tablet, SAI and Adobe Photoshop. The watercolour textures are from prepainted watercolour pictures.
