I saw this and how comments from us keep you going on your Profile, but I come here and read that this comic means exactly what I thought it meant from it's title and story, and now I don't know what to say. It's beautiful you could make this, but sad that you had to.

I can say I like the style of your lines, though... but I'd be too nitpicky if I went down and picked out specific lines where I liked specific parts of them . The colors are fantastic all over though. Especially what you did with the turquiose/aquamarine color.

For me, it happened the opposite, but the same way.

I was with someone physically, my high school sweetheart, my first love ever; and we were together for almost 3 years. Then he suddenly just decided to end the relationship, for no reason really, but it was mutual. I let him go since it was what he really wanted. 

He broke my heart, bad, and I too even used the metaphor of locking my self up from the possibility of love.. but it was my new bf, MY long distance relationship which is still current, that was able to unlock my own door and teach me I could love again.

We met on here, became friends when I was still with my ex, I helped him get over his own break up and he helped me get better after mine.

I know not all relationships are the same, and not all LDR;s work out, but this comic is literally what happened to me, but opposite. 
It;s only been 9 months for me and my LDR boyfriend, but he's already planning to come visit me this month with his taxes, and thats a good sign in a LDR.. most take years to even visit the first time. 

I wish you luck in any relationship you are in, and I love your comics. They're so relatable <3

I*m sad to hear this, after I found your long distance relationship comics I was so much reminded of how it was for me just a year ago. The only difference is, that I gave everything to be with him, moving to a different country, now living together, married and even a child, but it was a very hard time, lots of things I had to leave behind, which I can understand if someone doesnt want to do that for "just a chance"  

What I can tell you though, is that there is no shame in it, that it didn't work out...going that step of coming closer takes a huge amount of courage and for some relationship it sadly already ends when they are just seperated through 1 housewall and afterall, from what I could see is that you both had a really wonderful time as long as you were together and that is worth whatever outcome there is! you never know what expects you on the other side of a path we go

I'm glad you are healing. I love your artwork and your style and the healing process is showing already as you haven't altered or changed who you are or how you express your feelings and emotions. It's really admirable. 

I broke up with my girlfriend in December, the day before New Years Eve. I'm a little broken and scared and have no idea what to do with myself after. Just wanting to lock myself in a room and forget. So I share your pain. But like you, I have friends and family to talk to and help me through it.
