My entry for devart's "The World Ends With You" contest: [link]What a strange little critter this girl turned out to be.
I have a play scheme in mind for her, based on her unusual name, but since I haven't played the damned game I have to keep my mouth shut.
The blocky, heavy inking used in the example images for TWEWY was something I had to try out. I didn't get the feel of the game down, but I took a decent stab at it. You can see through the pictures of Koku Haku that I gained more confidence as I played with it.
Also, my stroke order and all that jazz sucks. Please excuse my horrific kanji!

EDIT: Thank you to all the people that stopped by to leave some kind words and thoughts! I really enjoyed making this character design sheet, and will likely make more in the future. I encourage everyone to go through the whole gallery for this contest. There were some real gems contributed.

Looking at this, I feel like she really COULD have been in the game. The style is just breathtaking and screams individuality, just like your character... yet you still can see the similarities to the game's artwork, which is good on some notes to familiarize the character to the game's universe.
Then seeing how you played with her name to have multiple meanings to describe traits of your character was quite adorable. If you've done a followup of this character, I truly would love to see it since you didn't know how to create her fighting style at the time when you made this ^^
Also, I think I have seen this entry before, but I'm not sure why I never faved it. Well, time to fix that...

The panda logo looks a lot like the one used by the Japanese clothing brand Putumayo.
But other than that, she looks awesome, and the hoodie rocks~
And although the contest happened over a year ago, I just found out about it a week or so ago. This is my favorite piece among the ten finalists~

The painting is very good, I would like to ask what software you are painting? How the color? The edge of the line you have a rough outline of how a small painting from? Using the pen tool photoshop it?

What program did you use? I'm still using Photoshop 7-- until I can come to grips with the heavy duty Illustrator CS3.
