I remember this boss. It may not exactly have tentacles, but the way it rotates and tries to trap you makes it still very well classify as a Tetran variant.

OMG! This blows me away! The after-image effect looks awesome! The shiny Core is great! Just perfect for a Gradius ship to destroy!

Woohoo!! Gradius Gaiden! Oh do I LOOOOOVE that soundtrack!! Sadly, I don't think I ever reached Laser Tetran. And my brother sold his PSP...

ACTUALLY if you look up the history of the symbol, it actually originated from asian culture. It was meant to be a symbol of prosperity and power. Hitler kinda just ripped it off from them. So I actually find many people's reactions of the swastika on japanese cartoons/products to be a bit misplaced. here's some clarity if you watch this video. Damn to I like Game Theory.

I LOVE Tetran, one of my favorite bosses in the Gradius Series and includes Big Core, and Zelos Force ^^
