Description
The Speak and Math (not this actual unit) was the only one of the "Speak &" series that I actually had in my own childhood. I remember as a kid the game select buttons summoning weird little loops that were some very interesting sounds in their own right, aside from the pleasing robot voice. To be able to pitch control and hack up all these sounds is a fantastic upgrade over its pedestrian stock abilities. Once opened up these units are so good at crafting weirdness, its hard to believe that they weren't meant for more creative use originally. Who knows. They sure are fun. I don't, and WON'T make them any more unless I'm doing it for myself. I retired from selling them long ago and don't feel like going backwards. I don't have a lot of pictures of my finished works from this era, so enjoy the rare glimpse. 2001.
