My comics partner and I each did our own poster/alternate cover for the first issue here to go along with our collaborative works. This one was mine. All Tablebeast. Printed on newsprint, which looks ancient now! The original was painted on, rather poorly and I don't think I have it any more. At least I haven't dug it up yet. But it's not as good as the inks. The lack of satisfaction that I had in my own painting abilities here in fact kind of pushed me hard back into just focusing on pencils and especially inks. This was my character "Angel of Death" It was a satire of hitmen and the extreme 90's comics. I just wanted an excuse to get about as gory as Tim Vigil. Draw cool body horror. It was never scary enough for me, so I abstracted more and more in a loop and got back to a very different illustration style. 1998.
