Yes, it is tiny; that's the size I drew it at and blowing it up ruined the picture's resolution/detail D:This is my freezer pigeon chick. I've had it for over a year now, he lives in an icecream tub at the bottom of my freezer.
He would have naturally lived in very cold climates, he does this by having an incredibly slow metabolism, which makes up for his absence of plumage. He makes for a very good pet, domesticated, hardly eats, clean. Though you can only get him out of his vivarium for a few minutes and even then you're not really supposed to handle him.

For such a size, the detailing is insane. Though, smaller drawings are easier to handle than the large ones.

Oh god yes. I've hated having to draw at A1 for lifedrawing in College. The idea is to stand back and check your proportions.. I've never drawn such inacurate legs in my life. It's much more prefferable to glue the piece of paper to your face and draw to the size of your thumb.

A1? For me A4 is already too large. And I really prefer to be able to check the proportions while drawing, not having to step back. Aside from the better pencil control when you don't have to use your elbow or shoulder.

same here, A4 is too large in itself. Filling A5 is as big as my pieces get. Slight wrist + finger movement is the best form of pencil control I believe.

I suppose he's easier to look after than most pets, although he might get a bit lonely. Does he have a name too?

I have two dead hawks in my freezer...they were hit by cars. My dad kept them, though; not me. XD

Itβs a normal freezer. XD He keeps them in a box so we donβt have to see them. Theyβd freak me out when I was little so I wouldnβt open the freezer. I thought the hawk ghosts would get me. 8C

That would totally freak me out too! Is there any reason you have some delightfully dead hawks in your freezer or do they just serve to freak unsuspecting food theives out?

He doesn't seem to have any plans for them and really doesn't want them to rot. I couldn't see him doing taxidermy, so I guess they're stuck in the freezer forever. xD

I like bog standard A4. I know where I stand with A4, we get on well. A3's not bad either and if i'm in a weird mood I don't mind going a bit smaller and doing lots of fiddly details on small paper either...
If it's too big, though, i get bored easily.

xD well, it was to try and produce something ultrarealistic because my graphics teacher said he saw some drawing the other day that was the most realistic thing he'd seen in 10 years, and it wasn't mine! So I was like.. RIGHT. I WILL DO THIS. But I honestly don't care now xD it's realistic enough for me, somewhat. And I didn't want to just draw my hand or a person/etc, I thought I'd give my little pigeon some limelight.
