Description Nothing special! Drew my pet rhoak landing. I was going to draw Sol riding him but I didn't. *dislikes drawing people that aren't the main focus of the picture* - just doesn't work for me for some reason xD

*likes the funny looking feet* xD
Need a name for it. I was thinking 'Seargent' or something.

Thankyou :B Your profile has changed somewhat since last I saw it. Your colour ref thing, is that your creatures new design?

AzeFish In reply to Tabon [2011-04-18 09:38:47 +0000 UTC]

Yep, it's a very basic ref and missing a couple features but that's the gist of it. I actually find this piece of art very useful as a croc anatomy reference, it's very inspiring c=

NAME HIM FISH. I name things "Fish" temporarily when I don't have a name and it's killing me. Don't ask where that came from, because I have no idea.

Really awesome, though! Love the way the primaries bend. I always have difficulty doing that from this kind of angle. And bird heads always give me no end of trouble x.x .
I agree with ~Ramul , however. The shafts of the feathers do almost disappear at the end of the feathers.

Tabon In reply to Pythosart [2009-12-29 18:27:05 +0000 UTC]

Thankyou! I'd tell you his real name but it'd spoil my story - if you were to ever read it - which you can't right now 'cause I don't have a plot/haven't made it yet D:

I like drawing bird headss, I haven't drawn one in a while though *will need to* thanks for the critique as well xD

Pythosart In reply to Tabon [2009-12-29 18:31:03 +0000 UTC]

Haha it would actually be really funny if you named him fish XD I'll probably read your comic when it........happens.

Any time ^^

I might do that :I I have a potential joke with what I've named him anyway but yeah, at the moment I'm very stuck with a plot xD and trying to get an easy style I want is difficult *wants photoshop to test out*

Photoshop doesn't like me :/

Or at least that's what I tell myself. The truth is, I just haven't had any teaching.

mmm... it's a really complicated program. It is nice for making bright colors, though.

I'm just hoping to try out the brushes mostly. My version of Corel painter is very limited in that area, and probably with effects and textures and things as well :I

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Pythosart In reply to Tabon [2009-12-30 17:20:28 +0000 UTC]

I haven't figured out Corel Painter, either..... it came with my tablet and I haven't gotten a thing out of it.

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Tabon In reply to Pythosart [2009-12-30 18:51:35 +0000 UTC]

Is it Corel Painter Essentials 2? Mine came with my tablet as well I find it easier than all the experiences I've had with photoshop. Though using the brushes/changing their opacity/etc is most of what I've found you can do. There are a few effects, but if you can use photoshop, you should hopefully find Corel Painter easy to get used to

Interesting perspective! You are always brave or skillfull enough to try difficult angle/perspective/whatever, and it is really impressive ^^

It reminds me a flying raptor you drew looooong time o-o I think you removed it from your gallery v.v

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Tabon In reply to DragonLegna [2009-05-11 08:56:07 +0000 UTC]

Ah that xD yeah, except that had no perspective.

Thankyou! I had a good referance for the wings though, that lead me to be doing that particular perspective. I like different perpectives, they interest me xD

Neat :3 I like how you mixed the bird feathered tail and the lizard/alligator tail together, gives it a nice touch. Gorgeous work on the details, as usual. How do you get the patience to do all that?! XD

Ramul [2009-05-10 18:55:22 +0000 UTC]

Nice work on the scales, the only problem I see are the shafts of the right wing's primaries.

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Tabon In reply to Ramul [2009-05-11 08:58:12 +0000 UTC]

Thankyou, what's the problem?

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Ramul In reply to Tabon [2009-05-11 20:04:00 +0000 UTC]

The shafts usually end before the feather itself ends (although it could be a design element) and compared to the rest of the lines they look pretty rushed.

šŸ‘: 0 ā©: 1

Tabon In reply to Ramul [2009-05-11 20:51:15 +0000 UTC]

Well the primary feathers are bent, so the stem of the feather isn't like the rest. I see what you mean about it looking rushed. I didn't rush it, but I think my hand went wobbly at that point for some reason or other >_>
