Long, serious critique shall be long and serious.
Vision:
I first noticed that you didn't completely darken in the coat, as there's still white visible where the light source hits Xion. I applaud you for that, since most of the art involving the organization cloaks do have the cloaks completely filled with color. Obviously not the case here, and instead of detracting from the main subject (her face), it compliments her skin nicely. In addition, Xion's skin tone itself is not overdone either. My only remark here is that her shading probably could have been blended more smoothly (but, blender ran out, so that's understandable). Also, the shadow underneath her chin is slightly over-pronounced, but it's a small thing.
And. Flowers. I can never bring myself to draw, much less ink, something with that caliber of detail. In addition, =tabriis also subtly lightened rings on the petals. Every detail contributes to the picture as a whole, and even though it's a detail that can easily escape the eyes, it also supports the lighting scheme used here.
Anatomically-wise, Xion's facial features have a masculine hint in them. Perhaps that just happens to be my take on it. I don't trust that grin.
Originality:
Well, obviously Xion isn't =tabriis 's original character. However, I must give Tabriis credit for the flowers, and finding out multiple meanings of Xion's name. Tatarian Asters aren't a flower that commonly referred to.
Also, I haven't enjoyed a minimally-colored piece of art in a while, so this made my day.
Technique: Ugh, long crit is long.
I already mentioned most of my view on the coloring in Vision. ಠ_ಠ But, hey, there's always more.
Hair strokes. Incredibly important, and quite well done. You've followed the contours of her head, and the direction in which her hair falls, and shaded appropriately.
I can also say the same about the shading of Xion's cloak. The shades follow along the darkest edges of her cloak (according to the light), and the long strokes there are placed accordingly.

Certainly a piece of art that is worth faving. I'm a sucker for anything Kingdom Hearts, really, so this was virtually an insta-e.deviantart.net/emoticons/h/h… " width="15" height="13" alt="" title="Heart"/> for me. However, I enjoyed the overall simple tones of this piece, and the interpretation of what 'Xion' really means. My hat's off to you, =tabriis , for bringing back your copic markers, and for creating this wonderful piece of art.

This looks like a tattoo piece to me, and it's stunning. I personally am a shipper of Akuroku and not a huge fan of Xion, and I respect your opinion to be otherwise. This is a beautiful piece, and with your permission, I may get a version of this (altered a tad, perhaps colourwise) as a tattoo in the future. (could be 2 months, or 2 years, not quite sure when).
Anyway, to get to the point of my original comment, anyone who comments, "Xion sucks, blah blah blah" REALLY needs to grow up. I don't like her either, but that doesn't stop me from favouriting artwork, and commenting on how gorgeous they are. Think about it like this, if you never played the game, or even heard of Kingdom Hearts (I'd feel bad for you, but still) would you still think of it as a beautiful art piece? That is when you favourite it no matter if you like or dislike the character. Jeeze, am I the only one to realize this over my years, or am I just an oddball who enjoys to enjoy art?
Anyway, I hope you don't turn off the comments because of my comment. I did state I disliked her, but *hopefully* showed others how pathetic they sound when they leave short comments like "Xion's stupid."

Thank you so much! OwO I would be honoured if ANYONE got a tattoo of any of my pieces. If you do, please let me know and show me!
Haha, no worries. That warning was mostly for people who would be like, "omg xion is teh suck y u liek her?!11" or something. I can respect people who dislike a character if they have a valid reason, but to take that out on someone's picture? Yeah no. I really appreciate your comment, as it put very well what my feeling are on the whole matter (and a lot more eloquently than I would have been able to word it too lol).
